“As a black, queer filmmaker, I have often had to carve out my own spaces to exist in. Forging connections with like-minded creatives and finding a tribe of underrepresented voices within the industry has been my way of constructing doors to walk through. It is through these collaborations that I have had the opportunity to write, produce, and direct two award-winning short films and several music videos, showcasing my distinct artistic vision.

One of my films, "A Guide to Being an Earthling" (2021), earned an Audience Choice Award at the Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival and was selected for Lift-Off's London and Berlin Festivals. Another project, "Somnium" (2022), a psychedelic queer horror film, received accolades for Best Mystery Short and Best LGBTQ+ Short at Los Angeles' Indie Short Fest. Its US debut took place at the NewFilmakers LA film festival in June 2022.

In my journey as a director, I draw inspiration from visionary filmmakers such as Ryan Coogler and Steven Spielberg. Their ability to transport audiences to otherworldly realms while delving into the complexities of the human experience resonates deeply with me.

Themes of grief, love, and loss serve as powerful catalysts for healing and catharsis in my storytelling. By centering black bodies and LGBTQ+ identities at the forefront of these narratives, I bring a fresh and distinctive perspective to the genres that have fueled my passion.”
